津巴布韦霍乱病例激增，本周已超过 12,200 例，津巴布韦政府正在采取严厉措施应对。
这是自二月份疫情爆发以来的最高增幅。政府正在限制公共集会和食品贩卖。由于新增感染病例最多，尤其是在低收入的卡达纳郊区，首都哈拉雷宣布进入紧急状态。受影响地区的居民面临着供水不正常、垃圾无人收集和污水问题等挑战。曾经是水源的浅井现在也受到了污染，造成了安全用水方面的混乱。
霍乱隔离中心正在治疗患者，政府也在分发水处理药片。据记录，此次疫情造成 155 人死亡，约有 8800 个病例，与 2008 年在津巴布韦爆发的夺去 4000 多人生命的霍乱疫情如出一辙，令人担忧。
