约翰尼-麦克甘农（Johnny McGannon）曾是一名公园管理员，他说蛇通常并不想攻击人。
学生们要学会在蛇的周围保持安全，而不要做危险的事情，比如抓住它们的尾巴。
自今年年初以来，约有 30 名来自不同工作岗位（如军人和动物园工作人员）的学生完成了课程。
有些人，比如已经捕蛇多年的雷克斯-纳夫，认为经验比培训更重要。但麦克甘农说，所有培训师的目标都是一致的：帮助人们学会保持安全，保护蛇和人类。
