地球周围的太空中有越来越多来自火箭和卫星的垃圾。专家称，去年约有1200件垃圾坠落地球，还有数千件仍在飞行。
这些垃圾会相互碰撞，产生更多的碎片，从而使太空变得更加危险。
法国是欧洲拥有太空垃圾最多的国家。法国有 500 多个旧物体和 100 多颗卫星。尽管法国遵守太空规则，但仍然增加了更多风险。英国也有很多卫星，但几乎没有垃圾。
欧洲航天局（ESA）也在努力保持太空清洁，并正在开发新的太空清洁工具。但由于资金和法律问题，清除垃圾十分困难。所有国家必须共同努力，遵守太空安全规则，才能解决这个问题。
