2026年1月22日 07:00 美国宇航局开始将阿耳忒弥斯二号火箭运往佛罗里达州的发射区。火箭以每小时四英里的速度移动，全程耗时长达十二小时，因其移动速度极其缓慢。工作人员谨慎引导，确保其在运输途中安全无虞。
本次任务将自1960至70年代阿波罗计划后，首次载人重返月球轨道。四名宇航员将乘坐火箭顶部的太空舱，绕月飞行十天后返回地球。乘员组不会登月，团队旨在验证载人状态下所有系统能否正常运作。
若天气与系统状态良好，美国宇航局计划于二月初实施发射。本次任务将为未来载人登月及后续火星探索计划奠定基础。
