荷兰政府宣布，从2024年1月1日起，禁止在教室里使用手机、平板电脑和智能手表。
其目的是为了减少上课时的分心，促进学生更好地集中注意力和学习机会。然而，如果数字技能课特别需要这些设备，或出于医疗原因，或有残疾的学生，这些设备将被允许。教育部长Robbert Dijkgraaf表示，尽管手机是我们生活的重要组成部分，但它们不适合在课堂上使用，科学研究支持这一观点。
这项禁令是教育部、学校和相关组织之间达成协议的结果。学校可以灵活地以自己的方式执行禁令，但如果到2024年夏天还没有达到预期的效果，将执行法律规定。
