世界卫生组织表示，刚果民主共和国的埃博拉疫情目前非常严峻。一种危险的埃博拉病毒正在该国东部迅速蔓延。截至目前，已有750人感染，177人死亡。

这种病毒非常可怕，因为它会导致三分之一的感染者死亡，而且医生目前还没有相应的疫苗。 由于该地区正处于战乱之中，且医院医疗物资匮乏，抗疫形势异常严峻。政府已禁止举行大型葬礼，因为接触死者遗体会传播病毒。这一举措激怒了部分家属，他们甚至烧毁了医疗帐篷。许多当地居民不信任外国医生，认为正是他们带来了这场疫情。

不过也有一些好消息。牛津大学的科学家正在研制一种新疫苗，并计划在几个月内进行测试。但要等到这种疫苗能惠及所有人，还需要一段时间。
