埃隆-马斯克（Elon Musk）的公司Neuralink获准开始为其为瘫痪病人设计的大脑植入物的首次人体试验寻找参与者。测试将持续约六年，但具体参与人数尚不清楚。
测试期间，机器人将把植入物植入大脑控制运动的部分。Neuralink 计划让人们只用意念就能控制电脑。
起初，Neuralink 希望为十名患者植入这种植入物，但他们不得不与美国食品药品管理局（FDA）商谈，担心其安全性。因此，目前还不清楚 FDA 允许多少病人植入。
埃隆-马斯克认为，Neuralink 可以帮助解决肥胖、自闭症、抑郁症和精神分裂症等其他问题。专家表示，即使这种植入物对人体是安全的，要广泛使用它也需要十多年的时间。
