现在，人们不再把垃圾埋进地下。这座城市在专门的地方焚烧垃圾。这样既能发电又能供热。那里环境整洁，没有异味。整个过程由计算机控制。厨余垃圾和生活垃圾被一起送入处理。 产生的电力供应居民家庭使用，足以为6万户家庭供电。焚烧后的部分废料被用于制造建筑材料。热空气则输送到小型商铺。危险废物也会被运往安全处理场所。这种新方法既造福了民众，又保持了城市的清洁。
