视频显示，这两种动物经常相互靠近。虎鲸转向海豚，跟着海豚进入深水区。海豚用声音寻找鱼群，而虎鲸则安静地倾听这些声音。这样，虎鲸就能找到海豚自己吃不到的大马哈鱼。
虎鲸捕到鱼后，会把鱼分成小块，分给自己的群体。海豚则吃剩下的小块。这个动作对两种动物都有帮助。专家说，当食物更难找到，海洋变得更嘈杂时，这种团队合作可能会帮助它们生存下来。
