每年的 8 月 20 日是世界蚊子日。这并不是一个聚会，而是让人们记住蚊子对人类健康的危害。
这个日子是为了纪念 1897 年发现蚊子传播疟疾的罗纳德-罗斯爵士。他的研究成果改变了医学。即使在 125 年后的今天，蚊子传播的疾病仍然夺走了许多人的生命。登革热传播最快，去年造成近 12,000 人死亡。
